Try this lavender coconut oil darling scrub for a quick exfoliation.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup coconut oil
- 2 cups raw sugar
- 20 drops of lavender oil
Direction:
If the coconut oil has not melted, heat it in the heat for 40 seconds or until it melts.
Place the melted coconut oil in a ball and slowly add the sugar.
Add 20 drops of lavender oil.
Place in an airtight bottle, and voila!
Tip: Trial with different essential oils to find your favourite scent.
2. Honey Wash
Did you know that honey has natural sterile properties? That’s right, honey is nature’s way to help us fight unwanted pimples!
Try this homemade face wash to reap all the benefits of honey.
Ingredients:
- Half a cup of raw organic honey.
- Half a glass of coconut milk.
- 2 tablespoons liquid castile soap
Direction:
Mix all fixings and pour into an empty honey bottle. To use, massage a small amount onto the face and neck (avoid contact with eyes!)
Tip: Add a little coconut oil scrub to your diet twice weekly to keep your skin smooth and silky.
3. Aloe a bit of Moisturizer
When it comes to natural moisturizers, there’s nothing a little cold-pressed organic Aloe Vera gel can’t do. Nature’s most incredible DIY Beauty product will hydrate your skin and help eliminate sunburn and acne.
You must purchase this moisture magic unless you live near an aloe vera plant. However, it is very affordable and can be ordered directly from Amazon.

4. Almond Eyes
Did you know that the skin around the eyes is the most delicate part of the face because it has no sebaceous glands? Unsurprisingly, our eyes can show the first signs of ageing. If you spend your life on the beach and in the sun, you can protect your eyes with good sunglasses and create your own homemade eye mask to combat unwanted dryness.
Try this nourishing mask with avocado and almond oil to remove crow’s feet.
Ingredients
- A teaspoon of avocado
- 5 drops of almond oil
Direction:
Mix until smooth, apply gently around the eyes, give permission for 5 minutes, then rinse.
Tip: Apply this combination every night before bed to wake up as fresh as the ocean.
5. It’s in the Hands
Along with the skin around the eyes, the hands can also show the first signs of ageing. We often neglect our hands, but it is easy to keep them moisturized and soft.
Whenever you’re at the beach, use sand as a natural exfoliator to remove deceased skin cells from the front and back of your hands, then go home and make this hand lotion that will provide natural nourishment.
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons beeswax
- 2 teaspoons cocoa butter
- 2 teaspoons shea butter
- 1 teaspoon almond oil
- 15 drops of essential oil
Direction:
Combine beeswax, cocoa butter and shea butter, then melt in the heat for at least 1 minute, stirring every 30 seconds. Add your favourite essential oils – we love vanilla! Then, place the mixture in the refrigerator to cool.
Tip: Leave the lotion on your pointers overnight, cover your hands with handbags and wake up with super soft hands!
