    The winter season wreaks absolute chaos on your hair. Your hairs tends to be very frizzy and dry. However, maintaining a good hairs care predictable is one of the best things you can do for yourself. It will help if you find a routine that suits your hair. However, there are general tips you can track to keep your hairs fit and fresh, especially in winter.

    Sleep is an important part of your overall health. Surprisingly, your hair is part of your skin and, therefore, needs a lot of nutrition. Even if you eat right and don’t wash your hair too often, these benefits won’t be reflected in your overall hair health unless you get enough sleep.

    Adequate sleep promotes hairs growth, and toxins are flushed out of the hair follicles. It also serves as an excellent way to combat stress, which leads to hairs loss and poor health It may help if you try to get enough sleep and focus on refining your circadian rhythm. It helps improve your skin and also improves the overall health of your hair. Here are some helpful tips to help you get a good night’s sleep:

    1. Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and treated foods before bed. Avoid dairy and wheat products, which can irritate your body if you have allergies.
    2. Before bed, eat a protein snack with carbohydrates. L-tryptophan from protein-rich foods assistances the body produce sleep-promoting hormones called melatonin and serotonin. The carbohydrates found in whole bread allow L-tryptophan to cross the blood-brain barrier and produce large amounts of sleep-inducing hormones. Foods rich in L-tryptophan include tuna, turkey, bananas, almond butter, avocado, dates, and figs.
    3. Foods containing tyramine (an amino acid) suppress the production of serotonin. Foods high in tyramine include cheese, spinach, sauerkraut and bacon.
    4. Avoid drinking liquids two hours before bed to reduce the chance that you will have to wake up and go to the toilet.
    5. Set up your bedroom as an attractive place to sleep. You’ll sleep better in a calm and uncluttered setting.
    6. Maintain a moderate fever of 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
    7. Reduce lighting in the bedroom, especially blue light, by using blackout curtains, as bright light can interfere with the body’s production of melatonin.
    8. Warm your feet with socks. The legs often have the heaviest circulation in the body. Wearing socks will prevent your feet from getting cold and disrupting your sleep.
    9. Wear earplugs to block out sounds if you are a light sleeper or have to sleep in a noisy environment.
    10. Add some scent to the room. Lavender essential oil is relaxing. Spray a few drops in the bedroom before bed.

    Dyeing and bleaching are processes perform on hairs that require the addition of large amounts of chemicals to the skin and hair. No matter the quality of the products you choose, they will cause some damage to your hair. While your skin and hair can usually recover from such damage, being susceptible to such harsh chemicals in the winter is quite harmful to your hair.

    Since your hair is already heavily damaged during the winter, you should eliminate any harsh ingredients from your hair care routine and focus on gentle, plant-based products.

    Incorporating and consistently implementing these helpful hair care tips into your hair care dull will help protect your hair and achieve great hair care goals during the winter months.
